Bedford Park

North of Lawrence and South of Brooke Avenue, Bedford Park is directly north of Lytton Park.

Bedford Park began as a farming hamlet north of Toronto. The hamlet was a popular stopover for farmers making their way to market in the city.

Today residents enjoy close proximity to Wanless Park which features 5 tennis courts, a basketball court, a baseball diamond, and a playground with wading pool for the kids. Bedford Park Community Centre is also nearby and is equipped with a gymn and an indoor pool. Public, private and Catholic schools are all close by, and Bedford Park Public School on Ranleigh Avenue is highly favoured in Toronto.

Lawrence subway station can be reached by foot by most Bedford Park residents, and the Yonge Street on-ramp to Highway 401 is only a five minute drive away – making this an ideal neighbourhood for one-car families or green commuters.
