Toronto is a fantastic city to live in. One of the most unique things about our geography is our ravine system, which creates a huge urban forest. These ravines create natural wonderlands that – even though they may be only steps away from the city at any given time – will make you feel like you’ve been transported far, far away from the cars, cement and bright lights.

The trees that make up Toronto’s ravines and parks are worth an estimated $7 billion, or $700 each, according to a new TD Economics report that says our trees provide about $80 million, or $8 per tree, worth of environmental benefits and cost savings every year.

Per Toronto family, that’s about $125 saved.
